Unit 10: Cell Phone Culture

This week, we learned about how Apple's iPhone will compete with new Samsung and LG smart phones that use Google's Android open-source operating system. What kind of cell phone do you have? Will you buy a new cell phone next year? What kind do you want? Tell me about your current and future cell phone purchases. What do you look for?






Please practice using the following grammar styles we learned in class this semester. Write one sentence to answer each question:

1. PRESENT PERFECT (p. 93)/CELL PHONE VOCBABULARY (p. 109) - What has been your cell phone experience until now?

2. TIME CLAUSES (p. 78) - How do you usually use your phone? What do you use it for?

3. COMPARATIVES (p. 15) - Compare your current cell phone to your past cell phone.

4. SIMPLE FUTURE (p. 64) - Are you going to buy a new G3 smart phone? What kind will you buy?

    1.I have experienced 2 cellphones since 2004.
    first thing was white cellphone.I had used it for 3 years. the next thing was also white cellphone. It's now what I'm using.
    2.I usually use me cellphone to take pictures, send messages, call my friends, look up words.
    3.present cellphone is smaller than past cellphone.
    4.no, I'm not going to buy it.
    I'm going to buy a up-to-date thing and a similar thing that I use now

    1.I have used 2 different kinds of samsung-cellphones for 5 years.
    2.I use my cellphone to send a message before I meet friend.
    3.present cellphone is prettier than past cellphone. present cellphone is more convenient than past cellphone. And present cellphone is more expensive than past cellphone.
    4.I am going to buy cell phone next year.
    And I will use SAMSUNG-cell phone continually.

    1.I have experienced many cell phones.Because I was well broken cell phone.
    2.I used cell phones to call friends.And messages are also used. Message is quick and easy.
    3.My last cell phone 2G and now is 3G cell phones.
    4.I already have a 3G smart phone.My smart phones is Touch diamond.

    1. I have been used the cell phone since I met her. I have been 6 times change.
    2. I usually used the cell phone for make a call and text message.
    3. current cell phone is simpler than the past cell phone.
    current cell phone is interesting than the past cell phone.
    past cell phone is bigger than the current cell phone.
    4. Next year I am going to go to SK Telecom.
    but I have no notion of buying.
    I like a current cell phone.
    The price is too high.
    I want to cell phone for simple.

    1. I have experienced 2 cellphones for 5 years.
    The first cellphone was Samsung product.
    The second cellphone was LG product.
    Until now I use this.
    2. I usually send to message and call my friends.
    3. The present cellphone is smaller and slight than past cellphone.
    The present cellphone has a touch function
    4. I'm not planning to buy a new cellphone I am satisfied with cellphone

    1.Do not need to buy expensive mobile phone.I think the phone can make calls and send the information can be .
    2.I usually use their mobile phones as watches ...Sometimes also used mobile phones as an alarm clock.
    3.I am now using mobile phone's function is more than before phones.Time use of mobile phones than the previous use of mobile phones longer.
    4.I'm do not going to buy a new G3 smart phone.I am using the phone in very good shape.If the functions are very good,not expensive.I think I'll going to buy a new G3 smart phone.

    1.I have been used the cell phone since I entered junior high school. So I had exchanged cell phone 3 times.

    2. I usually listen to the music on cell phone. Especially, I listen to music before I fall asleep.

    3.Current cell phone is more expensive than past cell phone. And Current cell phone is smaller than past cell phone.

    4. I am going to buy a Samsung Omnia smart cell phone next year. This phone has Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.

    1. I have experienced 6 cell phones for 6 years. I have experienced many Cell Phones. but,among many cell phones I have used most like MOTOROLA.

    2. I usually use cell phones to send messages, call to friends. also I enjoy seeing DMB at toilet.

    3. my current phones is more than before phones. because it have many fucntions.

    4. No... I can't do it...I have changed my Phones last month. so G3 smart phone very expensive.

    1. I have been experienced CYON cell phones for 3 years. And I have used SKY cell phone since 2009.
    2. I usually use cell phone so send messages, and call my friends, parents.
    Sometimes, my cell phone is alarm clock.
    3. My current cell phone more have function that DMB, dictionary than past my cell phones.
    4. I can't buy iphone right now, I will buy G3 phone in the future. Although iphone language is english, I am going to select G3 iphone.

    1. I have been used SKY cell phone until last year. I always have used SKY phone since I entered high school.
    2. I usually use cell phone to send message, and call to anyone. Also I use to game when I am bored.
    3. My current cell phone more has functions than past phone that a neon sign, DMB.
    4. I am going to buy a Samsung Omnia smart cell phone in the future. This phone has Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. I want to this cell phone.
